Slider not shown on main page

Hello, I have tried to apply the following theme versions (v1.0.6 and v1.0.1) and I can’t view the slider on the main homepage in either of those.

Is this a known problem or do I have to recreate content in a specific order to get the slider functionality?

Please inform asap.

How do I relocate the page title text (I disabled breadcrumbs) from within the page header for each page to below the page header to the left where I think it is more appropriate and visitors can still see a navigation trail.
