Elementor With X corporate theme

Hi,

I am trying to use Elementor with this theme however I can create any other page and edit it but no matter what I do to the settings, if I make a certain page the home page it will stay as the default that the theme had when I got it. You can open the Elementor widget bar, however there is nowhere to drag the widgets.

Please can you assist?
