    Hi,

    I like the Start Magazine theme very much. Luanched this week 3 sites with the theme. With another i’m running in to small problem. I would like news block on the front page show some recent items from a custom post type. How to do that? Any ideas or suggestions are very welcome.

    For this you would need some customization. You can create new widget with custom post type support in your child theme. You would need decent knowledge of PHP and CSS for this.
