I liked the Start Magazine theme and thought I would try the basic before advancing to pro. I really like the example layout with the two-third width slider and thumbs to the right of it for the recent posts. I can’t figure out how to get that on my page for anything. The documentation is very limited in instruction. I don’t even know what it is called. I’ve tried dragging the SM: Posts Slider and the SM: Recent Posts Extended widgets to both the Front Page Top Widget Area and the Front Page Main Widget Area. Neither made the slider show on my home page.
I’ve looked at all the documentation I can find and just don’t know how to figure it out. Any instruction to accomplish this would be great. Thanks.
Have you tried the demo import? You can setup demo site by importing sample demo content and look widgets are setup. It could be helpful to setup live site.
I haven’t done that. I guess I could try it if there isn’t another way to get instruction.
I was able to get it going using that method. Thanks.
